A Healthy Reef Needs Clean Water — We Keep Your Data Clean Too
Coral Reef is a conservation-themed game. We believe the ocean deserves protection, and so do you. The Game collects as little data as a fish leaves bubbles: almost nothing, and nothing personal. Your high score is stored in localStorage under reef_best. It is local to your browser. It does not travel over the network. We cannot see it, alter it, or restore it if you clear it.
Server Logs and External Requests
Our server logs the HTTP request made when you load Coral Reef: your IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and URL path. This information is used only for server health and security. We delete it after 30 days. Coral Reef loads the Josefin Sans typeface via Google Fonts — one CDN request. Google's privacy policy applies to that request. No other external scripts run in Coral Reef. Our reef is clean: no tracking flotsam, no analytics barnacles, no advertising plankton. Open the network inspector in your browser and count the requests. There are two at load and none during play.
Children, Rights, and Policy Updates
The reef is for all species — and all ages. Coral Reef is appropriate for children. We collect no personal data from any player. No parental action is required. Future changes to our data practices will be described here, in specific terms, before they take effect.
Your Data Rights
Players in jurisdictions with formal privacy rights — including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and similar legislation — may request information about data we hold. Because we retain only brief, anonymised server-access logs, such requests will ordinarily confirm that we hold no personal data linked to any individual. We respond within legally required timeframes. To submit a request, use the official Coral Reef website or repository contact channel.
No Sale, No Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with third parties for commercial purposes. If we were ever legally compelled to disclose server-log data — for example, by a valid court order — we would comply with applicable law. We would not do so voluntarily for commercial reasons, because we have no commercial relationship with any data buyer or broker.
